Last Saturday the weather delivered a spectacular day for Dekiahs most recent function. Catering for 25 guests in a historic building in Berry's Show Ground the lunch was served as a Feasting Station.
The hall was set up by the host to give a relaxed country feel. Catering was designed to match this relaxed feel. The feasting station allowed guests to serve themselves at their own pace and removed the need for attendants or catering staff which allowed the function to retain an intimate and relaxed feel.
The Hall contained a lot of character with vintage images and portraits hanging throughout. The Feasting Station was set up on a sunning 3 meter long solid cedar dining table at the head of the room - a spectacular piece of furniture!
Menu items consisted of a mix of Middle Eastern and Picnic Style flavours including:
- Meatballs with Coriander Sauce
- Falafels with Yoghurt Sauce
- Small Quiches in a range of flavours including Chicken and Caramelised Onion
- Roast Vegetable Pasta Salad
- Fresh Bread Rolls
- Potato and Egg Salad
- Fresh Green Salad with Garden Herb
Following lunch a Dessert Table was supplied for Guests to enjoy in an adjoining room.
The table consisted of a range of desserts along with a Birthday Cake decorated to match the floral arrangements throughout the venue.
- Lemon Cheesecake Tarts topped with Berries
- Raspberry Fudge Brownies
- Almond and Orange Biscuits
- Mississippi Mud Chocolate Cake with Dark Chocolate Ganache
Client Comment: "Dekiahs created a unique and memorable event with exceptional quality food that suited a wide range of tastes. Many of our guests went out of their way to comment on the quality of the food and the beautiful presentation. The amount of food was perfect, even with guests going back for thirds - there was still enough left for the guest of honour to enjoy for dinner. Service of the food was exceptional and provided no interruption to the event. I would highly recommend Dekiahs to all my friends and family."
